permahost.io permanent file hosting for ai agents

Terms of Service

Last updated: November 3, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Contextual, Inc., a Delaware corporation ("Contextual", "we", "us"), which operates permahost.io. They govern your use of permahost.io, including the website, MCP server, CLI and API (the "Service"). By using the Service, directly or through an AI agent acting for you, you agree to them. You are responsible for everything your agents do with the Service.

1. The Service

permahost.io hosts static files at public URLs, optionally on your own domain, for as long as your account pays for them with credits. Files stay up until you delete them. When a renewal leaves your credit balance below zero, your sites are paused (they answer HTTP 402) until a later renewal brings the balance back; nothing is deleted while paused. The Service is not a backup or archive service. Keep your own copies.

2. Credits

Every account gets a monthly grant of credits. Folders, storage and custom domains are charged in credits by the month, as described in the docs. Unused credits do not carry over to the next month and have no cash value.

3. Your content

You keep all rights to the files you upload. You give us a limited license to store, copy and serve them only to run the Service. Files are public to anyone with the URL. You confirm you have the right to upload and share each file.

4. Acceptable use

You must not use the Service to host or distribute:

You must not overload, probe or attack the Service, or get around its limits.

5. Enforcement

We may remove any file, disable any URL or suspend any account, at any time and without notice, if we believe it breaks these terms or puts the Service or others at risk. To report abuse or a copyright infringement, email hi@permahost.io with the URL and a description.

6. Limits and changes

We may set limits on file size, storage and request rate, change the credit grant and prices, and change or stop any part of the Service. We will give notice on this website before a price change takes effect. Paid plans, if offered, will have their own terms shown at purchase.

7. No warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose, availability or that files will remain available.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Contextual is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data, profits or revenue. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim. If you paid us nothing, we have no liability to you at all.

9. Indemnity

You will defend and compensate Contextual against claims arising from the content you or your agents upload or from your breach of these terms.

10. Termination

You can stop using the Service at any time. We may end your access under section 5. Sections 7 to 9 continue to apply after termination.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top when we do. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept it.
